Begin by making the intention in your heart to perform Tayammum for purification. This intention should be directed towards performing an act of worship that requires ritual purity, such as Salah (prayer).
2. Strike Both Hands on the Ground:
Place both hands on clean earth, sand, or any natural surface that is free of impurities.
After striking the ground, shake off any excess dust or particles from your hands.
3. Wipe Your Face:
Using both hands, wipe your entire face, just as you would during Wudu (ablution). Ensure that you cover the entire face with the motion.
4. Wipe the Upper Ears:
Gently wipe the cartilage of the upper ears with your fingers, ensuring that this area is also covered.
5. Strike Both Hands on the Ground Again:
Strike your hands on the ground or clean surface a second time, shaking off any excess dust.
6. Wipe Your Hands and Arms:
Using your right hand, wipe your left hand and arm up to the elbow.
Then, using your left hand, wipe your right hand and arm up to the elbow.
