Wudu (ablution) is a state of ritual purity required for performing acts of worship such as Salah (prayer) in Islam. Certain actions or conditions can invalidate Wudu, meaning that it must be performed again before engaging in worship. Here are the conditions that break Wudu:

1. Natural Discharges

Passing Gas: Releasing gas from the body (flatulence) invalidates Wudu.
Urination or Defecation: Any discharge from the private parts, whether urine, feces, or pre-ejaculatory fluid (madhi), breaks Wudu.
Passing Wind: Any release of wind from the body, whether with sound or not, invalidates Wudu.

2. Deep Sleep

Unconsciousness: Falling into a deep sleep where one loses awareness, especially if not in a sitting position with the buttocks firmly on the ground, invalidates Wudu. Light sleep, where one is still aware of their surroundings, does not necessarily break Wudu.

3. Loss of Consciousness

Fainting or Unconsciousness: Losing consciousness due to fainting, seizures, or any other cause breaks Wudu.
Intoxication: Being intoxicated to the point of losing awareness also invalidates Wudu.

4. Physical Contact

Touching Private Parts: Directly touching the private parts (with the hand, without a barrier) invalidates Wudu according to most scholars.
Intimate Contact: Sexual contact that does not lead to ejaculation (e.g., kissing or touching with desire) may invalidate Wudu according to some scholars.

5. Vomiting

Significant Vomiting: Vomiting a large amount, particularly if it is forceful or contains food, can break Wudu according to some scholars. Minor vomiting or regurgitation usually does not.

6. Bleeding

Flowing Blood: Blood that flows from a wound or any part of the body to the extent that it is not just a small spot or trace may break Wudu according to some scholars. Minor bleeding like a small cut or nosebleed might not invalidate Wudu, depending on the opinion followed.

7. Menstrual and Postnatal Bleeding

Menstruation (Haidh): The onset of menstrual bleeding nullifies Wudu, and the woman must perform Ghusl (full-body purification) after the period ends to regain ritual purity.
Postnatal Bleeding (Nifas): Postnatal bleeding after childbirth also nullifies Wudu, and Ghusl is required after the bleeding stops.

8. Eating Camel Meat

Camel Meat Consumption: According to some scholars, consuming camel meat breaks Wudu, and it should be renewed before prayer.

9. Touching the Opposite Gender

Skin-to-Skin Contact: In some Islamic jurisprudence schools, touching the opposite gender (non-Mahram) skin-to-skin without a barrier can break Wudu. Other schools of thought consider this to not break Wudu unless there is lust or desire involved.
